southern maryland, tomorrow morning, you may be seeing some heavy rains down around charlotte county and st. mary's county. here is what is going on around the area. here is the regional radar. here we are in washington. he was the first batch we came to earlier today. there is a general area of low pressure. this next batch will come up and over, and i think more into southern maryland as we get into the early morning areas. i think we will break out with a bit of sunshine. high temperatures around the country today, we were at 78. the mid part of the country again in the '80s. phoenix was 106. it missed the record by one degree. humidity all the way into new york city. we are headed toward october with a do point of 70 -- a dew point of 70. another wave is going to be dipping to the south. by thursday, that will be bringing in more heavy rains. tomorrow morning, especially folks in southern maryland and the eastern suburbs of washington will see locally heavy rain showers. by 12:00, that latest batch moves off. i think by tomorrow afternoon it will become sunny, warm, a little bit

here in baltimore, we are keeping an eye on heavy rain coming out of eastern north carolina and southern virginia right now. that will continue to work its way north through the evening so it looks like the rain will pick up here in central maryland. that is why the flood watch remains in effect before the western shore of the bay and through hagerstown. the national weather center maintaining not flood watch. eastern shore not under the watch just yet. it has just been so dry it recently that we can take a lot of rain before the flooding occurs. with that -- we already had about an inch at the airport and an harbor. 74 is the normal high. we made it to 78 downtown and 77 at the airports. temperatures are in the low 70's at the eastern shore right now. we are right around 70 in southern pennsylvania from northern baltimore county. temperatures in the 60's out in the western sections of the state. was the warmth and that helped to trigger severe storms for a while for the middle part of the day. low pressure knack -- down in north georgia will bring -- will come up the last part of the mo

so, yes, this storm is right over southern maryland, southern st. mary's county, and continuing track off to a northeasterly track. but that long dark red area did just disapeerks so that's good news. it looks like the storm may be weakening just a little bit, but the still is the potential that this one could be producing a small tornado. we'll zoom in even more to see some greater detail. that is maybe moving toward glen view knolls, lexington park west of you. you may be having some circulation. perhaps a funnel cloud. this one may have actually produced a water spout that perhaps may also form when it crosses the patent river here. as the storm passes overer, it likely may trigger a water spout thatould be like a tornado over water, and they usually have much weaker winds, and that will help to sort of break the storm dn just a little bit. the wider view of the radar showing this is continuing to move to the north. and once again let's look at some ofthe communityies that may be impacted by this and the timing of this, moving off on a north-nort
